Startups and stories—that’s what I’m all about.

For more than a decade, I’ve helped companies launch from stealth, speak at their dream conferences, and share their stories in Fast Company, WIRED, the New York Times and more

Today, I help startups and companies shape their stories through Hyperdrive Communications, my boutique consultancy. I also write my own stories—I’m a graduate of the Viable Paradise writer’s workshop and my fiction has been published in a selection of speculative fiction venues.

Stories matter. I was raised at the intersection of cultures and languages. Growing up in New England with a bilingual family, I learned how words and stories connect us to our past, present, and future.

Those early lessons on connection and communication have guided me through the world. I’ve lived in Japan as a foreign student. I’ve gotten on the wrong trains in Tokyo, hauled concrete in northern Thailand, helmed a dogsled in Minnesota, and won an annual pie competition at work. And through it all, words have connected me to others and bound the many elements of my life together.

Whether it’s innovators creating clothing from space materials, companies with the nerve to create new medicines, or fiction about other worlds and alternative futures, I love to work on big projects. I’m motivated by transformative ideas, technologies, and thinkers.
